yeah, that is true. Just tell the collector this is a
dispute bill, they will return it to the seller.
And for credit history, it's really not that importment.

最好还是别messed up with credit history。
说起来容易作起来难。这个credit history一旦
有了污点就不那么容易下去。老美对于这些dispute
向来是宁信其有不信其无，经常是你刚把它clean了
没几个月不良纪录又上去了，因为几家credit agency
是互联的，经常交换信息。除非你能一举把所有的
credit history统统清除干净。
有个老头八几年被人identity theft，用他的SSN贷款
买了几辆车，老头花了二十年时间到现在非但没有清除
纪录，反而因为不良纪录，退休后连退休金都被扣押无法
领取，惨呵。
