There is a Da Niu and he's done some interesting research closely related to
my ongoing projects, but I believe my research can complement his. Can I
just email him and say hi? I want to visit him for a few days and see if we
can collaborate... Thanks!

比如公司给了$10K reimbursement cap for relocation expense,实报实销按taxable
income打到payroll里面，假设全花光了，$3K withhold, 那么到手只有$7K。请问这个
$3K退税的时候可以要回来吗？如果不行，岂不是自己要负担３０％的搬家费用？

at least no hurt to say Hi, introduce yourself, and how his work is related
to yours. not sure if it's good to discuss collaboration at the very first
email...
