XML is just the foundation of web services, the only definition of WS shared
by M$, IBM, SUN is XML based web application...
M$'s .NET is basically XML + Component Architecture, Bill Gates puts XML
in every public speeches..
IBM's Web services is: DB2 + Websphere + XML
......................................
while this board is sort of dead, what are you guys doing? all ignoring the
next wave of web services???????????????????????????????????

Yes, there is. Basic XML, DTD design, Schema, XSL, SOAP, etc.

i guess the reason is that not many serious software guys come to this board.
same to other technical areas, like Programming, Database. You can see that
most postings are from amature / students. There used to be quite a few
people from the real tech world, but not many now. I guess they have lost
their interest here.

I beg to differ. Just those posting from students/amature? From technique
aspect, xml has nothing new. it's pretty old tech. xml itself means nothing.
the name of the forum mislead lot of people.
XML is not just www, it'll actually affect the programming language and
Database query language.
I post some naive questions six month ago, I also got some help from this
web. I visit the forum from time to time. In contrast, I just felt XML is too
hot and it became too complicated to be u
