The Finance Manager will prepare monthly financial reports both locally and
to the Danish headquarters, and ensure that accounting records are
accurately processed and properly maintained. In addition, the Finance
Manager will prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements as
well as generate the necessary schedules to support management decision
making. The Finance Manager will contribute strong functional leadership and
have hands on responsibility for financial analysis, accounting management
and accounting controls. The Finance Manager will ensure accurate and timely
accounting and reporting, and provide analysis of key financial indicators,
which will contribute to the profitability of the company. This person
supports the executive team by developing financial plans to assist them in
setting strategic direction for the business unit.
The successful candidate will contribute strong functional leadership and
exhibit an impeccable track record of ethical behavior.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Preparation of financial statements, forecasts and annual Plan and
provide financial analysis and counsel to multiple managers in the local
entity and in the Marine Acoustic Imaging CBU regarding business results and
actual performance against plans and forecasts.
• Lead the preparation of the annual business plans, monthly forecasts
and capital budgeting.
•Manage accounting operations including inventory, monthly close
process and account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial and business reporting to include: proactive
analysis of business trends, forecasting and budgeting, proposals and
reporting requirements and working capital management.
• Establish, maintain and document strong internal control processes
to ensure Compliance to SOX 404 in all facets of Accounting and Financial
Reporting, Internal Controls and Certification.
• Serve as the Financial Contact with the Marine Acoustic Imaging CBU
and Corporate office and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Interface with government agencies such as DCAA, if applicable.
Requirements* : • Minimum BS in Accounting or Finance required.(CPA
preferred)
• 5+ years in accounting financial management roles with a
manufacturing company.
• Experience operating at a divisional or subsidiary of a publicly
traded company preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Cost accounting and inventory experience in a manufacturing and job
cost (program) environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of Government procurement practices and
requirements, Government contract accounting, FAR and CAS knowledge
preferred.
• Participation in ERP system implementation/upgrade preferred.
• Public accounting or internal audit experience preferred.
• Solid leadership and interpersonal skills. Capable of developing and
sustaining effective peer and corporate relationships.
• Good technical/systems and process thinking skills. Able to develop
and continually improve the financial management systems.
• Ability to manage across a multi-facility environment.
• Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Previous work experience in international business setting
recommended.
• Must have excellent skills with all MS Office applications,
including Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Must be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)
