在把pretax的Traditional IRA rollover到４０１k后，是不是要等一年才能投
aftertax traditional IRA并convert成Roth？否则在form ８６０６里计算basis的时
候，在该年rollover到４０１k的 pretax Traditional IRA仍然会被计算在内？
比如说，２０１４年３月把把pretax的Traditional IRA rollover到４０１k，在４／
１５前仍然不能投２０１３年度的aftertax traditional IRA，而只能投２０１４年度
的。不知道我的理解对不对？

终于坐下来慢慢写签经了，昨天晚上打电话的时候都要跳起来了，恩恩，签过了很开心！
签经大部分都是爸爸写的，我只是转帖过来。
我们的行经路线全是按你的攻略走的。
1.第一天我们11点30到的天安门，好像是假日天安门免费开放我们就进去了，到了天安门里面转了一圈（城楼上和故宫收票）我们俩去了前门大街吃的炸酱面14元一碗。又照了好几张照片，然后就去了旅店。（我们下午4点就到了）稍歇了一会儿我们就去找美国大使馆从大使馆回来时小武警告诉我们从使馆围墙外的专用停车场就可以穿过去很近也就是5～6分钟就可以到旅馆，我们就从那回的旅店，晚饭是在旅店吃的。
2.第二天早上我们5点半我们就起床了，洗簌完就结帐退房了，然后就在旅店前厅坐到7点15分去永和豆浆吃早点了。8点左右去的大使馆，8点半你同学来了然后就进去了，第一步门口的武警看护照放行进去安捡把金属物品和所有电子产品全部拿出来就进到了大厅（不用存包，大厅里太热了，人也太多了，几乎要把大厅挤爆了），第二步排队交 156和157，拿色牌在排队按手印 ，第三步就是排队面试了，一开始只开了1，2，3，4，5，7号窗口，1，4，5是亚裔女面式管3号是亚裔男面试官，2

父母今天到美国，从温哥华转的机。其他一切顺利，唯一的问题就是我父母居然是在温
哥华过的
美国海关，这倒其次了，更折腾的是他们的I94表在登上温哥华到西雅图的飞机时被航
空公司收
了。他们不清楚这个表格有什么用，所以就让他们收掉了，现在怎么办？找航空公司要
？补办？
（他们是B-1/2的1年多次入境签证。）

不是。
basis跟pretax Traditional IRA没有关系。

I94怎么会被到西雅图的航班收掉？完全没道理啊。如果确实找不到，只能补办了。

找移民局吧，否则他们就当你父母离境了。
是不是因为你父母持中国护照，加拿大转机需要转机签证，航空公司，没注意就给I-94收了。

ill this be an issue? I am afraid the brokerage will charge some kind of ac
count service fee because of low balance?
One other question: If everyone can do backdoor Roth IRA, then why the IRS
sets an income limit for Roth IRA?

IRS didn't set it. Congress did. Laws don't have to make sense.
Also, it's not completely the same, because if you had deductible
Traditional IRAs, then you can't do backdoor Roth IRA (without converting
all your Traditional IRAs anyway).
