Dear Visa Officer:
As I know, my brother LL and his daughter ZZ are preparing a visit to USA. I
discussed this with LL and am glad to invite them to visit us. I understand
that they need to secure US visas for their visit. Please take time to
consider their applications.
LL and I were born and brought up in Beijing. We have been living together
for nn years before I left for US. ZZ was born three months after I landed
here in US.
I have been living in US for almost nn years. I have a family here. My life
here is simple, but I feel satisfied and happy.
LL has a happy life in Beijing, too. He has been running his own company for
years. His wife, HH, holds a secure ??? position in wwwww. ZZ is an honored
student in her school.
My parents are also living in Beijing. Their physical conditions are not
great and LL had to spend time taking them to the hospital every now and
then. In late 2004, my father had a heart surgery … However doctors warned
that he could not take flight anymore.
My last visit was in summer 2010, with my daughter KK … She and ZZ really
liked each other. Trust me or not, during that three weeks, ZZ was on KK's
top "most loved" list (shall I be jealous? :). To nobody's surprise, both ZZ
and KK cried before we headed back to US. They promised to see each other
in the next year.
At the age of 12, ZZ is old enough to enjoy a visit abroad and to broaden
her horizon. Therefore my brother and his wife were planning an oversea trip
for her. On the other hand, I just switched job and my limited accrued
vacation time does not warrant a weeks-long vacation in China. This makes
obvious their destination the United States of America.
The plan is easy to set for first-comers. The whole itinerary is about three
weeks. They will spend couple of days in New York City. ZZ once lost two
points (98/100) in her English exam because she thought the Statue of
Liberty is in Washington DC. She really wanted to visit the Statue. Then
they will join us here in NN. I am going to show them around the AAA, BBB,
CCC etc. Of course they are going to do some shopping. They already made a
long shopping list, in the TT Mall and the LL Outlets Mall. The last week is
the week for children: Disney Land, Sea World and the Universal Studio in
Orlando.
Every time I went back to Beijing, my brother provided lodging and basic
living costs. They know I have money to cover those but they feel their
responsibilities to do so. I will do the same: provide their lodging and
living costs here. I attached my 2010 W-2, recent paystubs and bank
statements for your review.
My brother can speak simple English. However his English is not proficient.
I felt I'd better write this letter as an addendum to their visa
applications.
My whole family, especially KK, is looking forward to the guests. KK would
be very sad if they could not come. Therefore, I really appreciate your time
and consideration and hope that you approve their visa applications.
