RT, 大家都用什么东西来做？
听到有人用rice cooker, deep fryer, skillet，top burner.
rice cooker感觉太慢，deep fryer 太难看，skillet 感觉又太浅, burner 也是不太
实用吧。
有经验的人给个建议。

老板要换到别的州了，不想跟着去。想换到本地另外一个作相关领域的LAB。请问
AMERICAN HEART的FELLOWSHIP可不可以TRANSFER呀？有人说不可以。但是如果新的
LAB作的也是和HEART紧密相关呢？如果可以，应该怎么作呢？

我发现老美自己都看不上自己二战武器。收藏军械，如果资金有限的，他们大都从德国

I think you can do it this way:
you still have your name under your old boss, but you work with the other
boss.

Thanks for the reply, but I do not think I can do that becasue I can not do
the exactly same project in the new lab. Even I can, that is still not
allowed by AHA I think.

If you are still namely supervised with the same faculty, then it is OK to
change project. In fact, I don't think they really care what your project is
really doing. Some people propose one thing and then do another thing. It
happens all the time.

Thanks for the advise. But do you think it is possible to ask the new boss
apply visa and pay the benefit for me, while keeping namely supervised by
old boss? Becasue I have to have visa and benefit.

If you are with the H-1B and staying in the same school, you don't need to
change your visa AT ALL no matter who is your boss. If you are on J-1 then I
am not sure. You need to ask the international center about this.
One easy way to out of this is: I believe your old boss, even if he left for
the new place, he can still keep a visiting position in your department and
therefore your visa status will remain the same. In such a case, your name
will be under your current boss but you will be direct

//sigh... the reason I know so much about the AHA fellowship... is because I
have applied for it for three times and read their rules for three times...
I had never got any actual money from them, so far...

change to a different school and need to got new H-1B from new school. Do
you know what is there policy for this situation?

Keep trying, all you need is to be lucky one day. You will be lucky and got
your fellowship if you try enough.

it's not a big deal if your boss can support you.
you will really know what is heart broken if you tried job hunting several
times but all failed.

I tried to hunt for multiple types of jobs but all failed... does

if you need to change to a different university it will be complicated.
If you move to a different school with the same mentor, then it is OK. But
if you move to a different school with a different mentor... then it is bad.
In my memory, AHA rarely agree to transfer the fellowship to a different
mentor unless with a very uncommon reason (like your boss died)
If your current boss has an adjunct position in the other university, then
it is OK and you can do the similar thing as I suggested earlier
