Just find an ads from university job site. It said a research scientist
postion from Vice Provost for Research with a sarlary of 90K/year. Can't
believe! Don't know what kind of position it is. Anyone have some idea on
this? Thanks a lot!

provost我的理解就是 教务长 或者 训导长的意思吧

Thanks for reply. I know the meaning of provost. But I don't know the
difference of the "reasearch scientist" from provost and from company or
university. Why the salary is so big difference?
