Development Awards (IDeA) programs. The funding level in the bill will
support the request level of at least 9,150 new and competing research
project grants, an increase of about 450 from the fiscal year 2011
projection.

Usually there is an online request website at the international center,
where we can request an invitation letter for inviting family members. But
that system is only for F1 or J1 students (there is a form where we need
to check either F1 or J1 for the status). I just got my green card
recently, should I still check F1? If not, how should I obtain the
invitation letter?

吐槽贴，略长。
两个多月前，经版上考古，发现邮寄纽约申请旅游签证耗时少不到三周，多不过两月，
遂抱着侥幸心理，估计两个多月应该够了。谁知道最后还是亲自去领事馆跑一趟
withdraw，白搭许多时间，精力和汽油钱。
经历：
10/24 寄出
10/25 寄到
12/14 寄到第7周，发信询问http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/new-york.asp，当天得回复如下：
File #: Vxxxxxxxxx -H
Dear Sir/Madam,
This message refers to your application for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)
filed at this office on October 25 , 2012. Please be advised that further
checks are required which will delay the processing of your application.
Your application file number is Vxxxxxxxxx -H.
Do not attend to this office until you receive another email indicating your
application is complete.
OR
If you wish to withdraw your application early, you may present yourself at
our office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday between 1:00 pm and 02:30 pm.
Please note that there will be no refund of your application fee if you
choose to withdraw your application. You MUST have a printed copy of this
email if you return to this office to withdraw your application early.

12/27 寄到第9周，收到邮件如下：
I am writing in respect to your visa application at the Consulate General of
Canada in New York, NY. Processing on your application has begun.
Additional background checks were required and have been initiated. The
checks can result in a processing time that is 30 days longer than our
regular, published processing time.
If you require your passport back sooner, and wish to withdraw your
application, please send a message to this e-mail address. Please be sure
to put the following in the subject line: "Request to withdraw application".
In your reply, please be sure to include your full name, your date of
birth, your sex, your passport number and the type of visa for which you
have applied. Please clearly state that you wish to withdraw your
application. When we receive your e-mail, we will cease all processing on
your application and will place your passport in the mail within two working
days to be returned to you.

两个多月还要再加一个月，顿时心中千万草泥马奔腾。算了，还等着用护照。这地方不
去也没什么。

早上把暴雪埋了的车刨出来，5小时后到纽约。
12:30 pm 到了领事馆排队。排队的地方在朝向Avenue of the Americas的楼门口对着
的街边灯柱下。灯柱上有个牌子写着"NO STANDING"。就是在这个NO STANDING底下开始
站排。
1:00 pm 领进去安检。这里必须赞一下安检黑人小哥，微笑有礼貌，让我一肚子火消了
一半，举拳难打笑脸人嘛。
1:30 pm 去窗口说明来意。白人大妈很牛很拽很不耐烦，好像一切都是我的错。真不知
道这自信从哪里来。
2:30 pm 拿到护照，没有签证。护照居然没有丢，真是万幸。丢护照在美国驻渥太华大
使馆经历过一回，怕了。
最后十分感谢遇到的一对夫妻，比我来得早却让我排在前面。祝您二位withdraw成功，
一切顺利。
另感谢其他版友发表的经历，十分受用。

UDACITY上面那个WEB DEVELOPMENT的课程用GOOGLE APP ENGINE，不过好像过时了，好
多课程里的CODE在GAE上都会出错。所以想看看还有没有别的。

journal要求图片得是TIFF的，还得是600 dpi。FlowJo没法直接保存成TIFF，而且其他
格式的
DPI也很低。
大家是怎么办的？还是说再用photoshop弄一下？我怕原始图片DPI太低，用PS，也没什
么大效果。

最 elegant 也是最火的 stack，MEAN
最容易上手出活，ASP.NET MVC
混乱但是需求和机会多的java那一套东西
PHP那套，迟早过时

我觉得facs的图没关系吧没有人放大很多倍去看的吧你存成jpeg或其他的最后整理成
图的时候用tiff好了

I went to the international center today. They made a copy of my green card
and will put in my files.
They don't know about the invitation letter thing either, because they only
provide invitation letter service for F1/J1 students. They suggested me look
at US Embassy website.

当然有关系了，分辨率太低是没法看的
我一般copy and paste到freehand,图就变成矢量图，dot plot那些点还是一个图拆不
了，不过lines和数字全都可以改的
histogram的话全变适量
ctrl shift g拆分，改大小，颜色，线条类型等等
再ctrl g就可以export tiff格式或别的格式dpi自己设定
一般MAC上更好操作些

php工作机会很多啊。web不外乎js, node, php, python,.ruby这些。同时学也不难。.
net那个玩意还是别碰了。

用Notepad就可以开始编程，有Notepad++更好
新找了一个教程
https://scotch.io/tutorials/single-page-apps-with-angularjs-routing-and-
templating
用Notepad++和一个浏览器和互联网连接就可以编程了。
