I think the reporter made a mistake. The 2011 remake,

(an updated version of Jet Li's film debut, The Shaolin Temple)
, and the 1982 film share two actors (Andy Lau and Jackie Chan)--the 1982
film starred Jet Li, who is not in the remake.
