很想知道现在F1变5年。如果现在是OPT回国重新签证，有效期会多久？会给5年么？还
是EAD卡的截止日期
如果没申请OPT之前回去签了F1回来，然后再申请OPT，OPT生效以后原来的F1签证还有

vertebrate development in developmental neurobiology, stem cell biology,
systems biology, animal cloning (cattle, sheep) and transgenic animal
research. Candidates with experience in transgenic or knock-out mouse are
preferred to direct the mouse facility of IGDB. The appointment will be at
Principal Investigator (full professor) level. Candidates are expected to
hold a Ph.D. degree and a minimal four-year postdoctoral experience. Start-
up package will be accompanied by either the “One-Hundred Talents Program
of CAS” or the “One-Thousand Talents Program of China”. Salary and

Since no one has the answer to my question yet, I called the CITIC Bank at
Beijing. They told me the change of my status doesn't matter. My parents can
still apply the visa through CITIC Bank in this case. Hope this will help
others who have the similar concerns.

以下是我们学校学生会刚发的：
2014年11月10日发布了“美国对华签证从原来的一年一签，改为学生签证有效期延长至
5年，B1/B2签证有效期改为10年”的消息，并且据美国方面出具的文件，是从2014年11
月12日起，美国方面就开始执行这条政策。
为了帮助同学们更清楚地了解这以新政策，CSSA转载“留学进行时：2014年11月12日期
”如下：
第一点，留学生签证时间其实是以I20为准的。
如果I20给你的是2年，那么签证有效期就是2年。比如说读Master的小伙伴们，你们的
签证有效期该是多长，就还是多长，因为你们的I20就只有2-3年。但是本科生
undergraduate和博士生Ph.D就有福了，本科生直接就可以获得4年的签证，博士生直接
就可以获得5年的签证，期间不用再签了。要知道，在此之前可是一年一签的，非常讨
厌，在这期间，不管有什么事情，都不能出入境美国，苦啊！习大大奥巴马，你们好样
的！
第二点，对于已经签过的签证，只有在重新签证之后，才能获得长时间的有效期。
也就是现在在美国的学生，和在今天之前刚刚签过的学生，你们现在手里的签证有效期
该到什么时间，就是到什么时间，只有下次签证之后，才能获得多年有效期的签证。
第三点，签证其实给的时候，是按照你护照有效期给的。
也就是其实新签发的护照的有效期都收10年，但是有的人护照有效期有可能之声4年了
，也就是6年前就已经拿到护照了，当护照有效期只有4年的时候，哪怕你的I20给的是5
年的有效期，但是因为你护照的有效期只剩下4年，那么签证官能给你的有效期也就只
有4年。4年之后，当你在国内换了新护照之后，美国签证官才会把你最后1年的有效期
给你。换句话说也就是，建议小伙伴们再去签证之前，最好先看一眼你自己的护照的有
效期，如果护照有效期少于5年的话，建议区公安机关先办一本新的护照，然后再去签
证。
第四点，关于OPT和STEM，暂时还没有看到相关的变化的消息。

工作许可，要求你找的工作要与你所学的专业领域相关。一般是在毕业以后申请的，但
有的学校要求学生修完所有的学分后才可以申请，或者毕业前几个月才可以申请。原本
申请OPT要求一人只能申请一次，现在则是不同阶段学历的学生只允许申请一次，即本
科和硕士的OPT是分开算的。如果你是持F1签证的留学生，而且你又是STEM专业名单的
学生，你毕业后可以留在美国的实习时间是12个月+17个月+2个月，一共是31个月，超
过2年半的时间!
