it publish only 0-2 paper per issue, the quality of most of the papers is pretty good. What are you worry about? IF is that important? If yes, I predict that IF for Sci Signaling will be very high. Keep in mind that the IF for the first three yrs normally lower but it will be up and stable after 5 yrs. Another journal, Sci Translational Med's IF might be higher than Science's.

Why do you think Sci Translational Med is a good journal? Just because it is published from Science/AAAS's group? I did some research and found that 5 out 5 research articles or perspectives published more than one year ago only have 0-3 citations. So I think the impact factor will be nowhere near Science's, maybe even lower than PLoS ONE.

This journal publishes clinical related papers. These clinical journals often have higher IF although they quality of the papers in these journals is lower (for example NEJM IF > 50, but the novelty of work in NEJM is much lower than that of CNS. I have read at least 4 important clinical related papers from Sci Translational Med. These papers are more important than most of them from NEJM. I guess the IF is higher for this journal, again the quality of the paper is less than Science. Just the fact that clinical studies have more citations. For a new journal, you should see the citations for at least 2 yrs. Now it is too early to check the citation.
is perspectives ONE.

好听。 关于S音,我听说是可以用EQUALIZER,在某个特定的高频上“削”一下。但是没试过, 可能可以google出来: http://www.audio-production-tips.com/vocal-eq.html "Sibilance around the 7 Khz. Some people have more sibilance than others. The s' sounds have much more energy than other consonants. If your singer has an excess of s's you can try cutting around 7 Khz. It will make the s's less pronounced and won't make them jump out too much. Better yet, inserting a de-esser or a compressor that only compresses the s area can work even better."

you did not read what the director of HHMI said, largely, the cost of doing a journal business is nothing compared to their fundings to their HHMI members... See, they just have tons of money to do it...
It's not about money. We already have too many journals.
