Visa Officer,
U.S. Consulate, Shanghai
Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is xxx. I’m glad to write you this letter in support of the B2 visa
application of my parents, yyy and zzz. They plan to visit my family from
this November to April next year.
I am senior software in X company, a company based in San Jose and owned by
M Inc. I am well paid by the company ($1xx k/year) and have been working in
the company for 6 years. Before that, I came to the United States in 2001
with my wife, holding H1 and H4 visa respectively, after I got a job
opportunity in a Silicon Valley company. After that, we are fortunately
granted permanent residency in 2004.
My wife and I love my parents and try our best to reunion with them if
possible. I went back China several times and visited them in 2004, 2005 and
the summer this year. However, the longer I stay in U.S., the stronger I
feel to invite them to have a family reunion in the states (They have never
been in U.S.). I would like them to have an opportunity to experience the
American culture and festivals (thanksgiving, Christmas, and New year) that
we enjoy, and to take a tour around fantabulous American resorts like Lake
Tahoe, Grand Canyon and Las Vegas.
We own a house and my parents will live with us during they stay in the
states. To make my parents enjoy the trip, I will cover all the travel costs
, and other necessary costs during their staying in the states, including
round-trip airfare from Shanghai to San Francisco, lodge fees during
traveling and so on. It is just a humble effort that I can do to express our
love to my parents.
After the trip, they will go back to China to enjoy the countryside life in
the hometown that they love. Besides, my brother in China needs their help
as my niece, my brother’s daughter, is going to enter elementary school and
my brother’s family is permitted for second child by the local government.
Thanks for reviewing the application. I really appreciate your time and
effort on the case. I wish you a happy day!
Sincerely,
