都说会议是建立connection，攒简历的好事儿，可俺第四年了还一个会议都没参加过..
.老板向来都是自己去，顶多再叫上一个Postdoc 这种情况怎么办呢？参加会议是不是
一般都要老板的support?

大会小会？有没有象样的结果做墙报？
没钱？觉得你结果还不够？怕你太嫩，让竞争对手套出底来？
先问问老板，他觉得怎样可以通过开会促进你的工作和career。
真要是靠开会攒简历，你就惨了。

看人的有的mean的PI 若其认为你还不到时侯去做会议演讲你非要去
今后有大麻烦的
还有不和其事先说要去最后给其发现你偷偷去了更不妙
前者是抗命的问题后者是诚信的问题
最好是PI 公费让你去不然最近R01 年年cut PI 都快成只教不授的啦千老位置的
Reference letter 想过
现PI 写还是不写写了是strongly recommend or negative?

financially, most conferences have student travel award or stipend. Try to
contact the conference as early as possible. Then talk with your boss to put
up a poster.

一般是做poster或者presentation的才有资格apply这个travel award吧

travel grant不一定非要博后，看会议的。
