公司要求明年一月份能上岗，不能等更长时间。
我现在博士在读，可以下学期十月底先拿一个MS，然后接着读PhD。
现在的问题是我应该以什么身份申请H1B比较合适呢？
（1） 用国内的学位申请， 现在就可以申请，明年一月份生效； 其间保持学生身份；
优点是现在名额比较多，可以比较稳妥地拿到H1B，但是多交税；
（2） 等拿到美国的MS以后申请H1B, 这样可能就赶不上今年的名额，要明年10月1号才
能生效，其间用OPT工作。这样的问题是我只能有12个月的OPT,如果明年的H1B申请失败
，OPT的时间不够下一年申请了（一月份到九月份要用掉九个月OPT）。 这个方案会少
缴税，但是有些小小的风险。
我看很多帖子鼓励多用OPT， 不知道OPT是不是工作以后自动就没有了，如果先用H1B工
作不消耗OPT，以后转F1，是不是还有OPT？
缺乏很多背景知识，想听听内行人的意见：）

顶，有类似的问题
不过我比lz更惨的是，学校的PhD program不给MS学位
所以我要么就是先直接用本科学历申H1B
要么就是用CPT/OPT开始工作，同时继续为学校老板卖命争取一年后毕业……

你这个要先弄清楚老板能不能支持你part time PhD，还是你不打算继续读博士了？
弄个美国的文凭可能还是需要的，以后找别的公司可能就不能用国内的文凭了。
如果你不想拿PhD，其实可以直接转MS program吧

分辨率高的话成本肯定要上去了。而且gpu性能是否够强是个疑问。
不过就算现在这样，ipad的压力也小不了

我还是想读完PhD的，只是这个暑假肯定不能毕业的。。

明年肯定是4核板子的天下，重量厚度已经快到极限了，估计再薄也很难，估计就是拼
屏幕和电池了。系统明年毫无疑问是ICS井喷的时候，就跟当年android 2.x出来的手机
市场情况一样。

Funny how engadget compares this to ipad2 on nother but battery.
I guess they can't say anything bad on apple products.

我觉得你的情况简单些。如果你能在OPT/CPT其间拿到PhD, 我建议你直接用CPT+OPT.，
如果你得PhD基本上要完成了，有可能有29个月的OPT了，应该算很安全了。
你现在如果用国内的学士学位申请，公司给你的工作的最低要求可能就要降低到BS，而
不是MS或者PhD，这个不知道会不会影响以后绿卡的申请。 但是很有可能影响你的
salary的，公司一般有个计算工资的公式，除非你跟老板私下谈好，否则国内本科和美
国PhD，salary应该差不少。
我的情况比你复杂，我这个不能保证一年内拿到PhD，有journal 方面的硬性要求，如
果现在申请OPT，12个月以内没有拿到PhD，就比较麻烦了。

Prediction on ipad3
Better camera, siri, 5g lighter. And best ipad ever.
Highly doubt they can pull a retina screen. And if they do,
the apps become horrible to use before update.

慢？high profile 1080p毫无压力。engadget的review说
3D游戏的效果是tablet上最好的，显然包括ipad2。
ipad2先追上分辨率再说吧。
