Bioinformatics and Quantitative Data Analyst
POSITION LOCATION: Hendersonville, TN (100 Bluegrass Commons Blvd. Suite
2200. Hendersonville, TN 37075)
SALARY RANGE: Gross annual salary $60-75k depending on qualifications
POSITION AIM: The position involves performing bioinformatics data
analysis, data manipulation and formatting, and database
management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in bioinformatics data analysis and manipulation of
sequencing data.
• Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Good programming skills in Perl, R, FORTRAN or similar languages.
• Experience in HPC cluster management is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and reporting skills.
• Ability and interest in learning new skills and working productively
in a team
environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• M.S. in animal breeding/genetics/biostatistics/bioinformatics/
computer sciences
or related field.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Bioinformatics data analysis.
• Large-scale data manipulation.
• Uploading and extracting data from the database and monitoring and
maintaining
the database.
