Sr. Scientist Bioanalytical Mass Spectrometry
Currently seeking a bioanalytical expert who specializes in the metabolism
and metabolite identification of peptide drugs using state-of-the-art mass
spectrometry techniques.
Responsibilities:
Provide pre-clinical pharmacokinetic analysis and metabolite
characterization for our proprietary “Stapled Peptide” drug candidates
using state-of-the-art mass spectrometry techniques.
Independent design and execution of bioanalytical methods
Bioanalytical expert on several key programs – support to include: mass
spectrometry, HPLC, LC-MS-MS methods development and pharmacokinetic
analysis
Develop sensitive and specific methods for measuring drug concentrations in
biological matrices to support discovery and development applications.
Use innovative and creative MS-based methods to identify, quantify and
characterize metabolism products.
Enhance the mass spectrometry technology in the laboratory and keeping up
with the latest developments in the field.
Requirements:
Mass spectrometry expert with Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or a
related field with at least 4 years industry experience
Significant hands-on experience in related mass spectrometry and HPLC
techniques in an industrial setting.
Experience with sample preparation from biological matrices, LC-MS-MS
methods development, and pharmacokinetic analysis is required.
Hands-on knowledge of MS-MS-based proteomic analysis of peptide digests, as
well as familiarity with studying protein post-translational modifications,
will be favorably considered.
Strong skills in the operation and maintenance of MS instruments are
required, and prior use of Waters triple-quadrupole mass spectrometers and Q
-TOF instruments, including familiarity with ion mobility (Synapt)
separations, is desirable.
Assay development and sample analysis
Able to work independently as a team member in a fast-paced environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience writing, reviewing, and implementing analytical methods, reports,
and protocols.
Excellent computer skills and attention-to-detail are essential
