I am pleased to announce that the National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Intramural Research Program is now recruiting for a Staff Scientist (non-
tenure track FTE researcher) with experience in Biostatistics,
Bioinformatics, Genomics and/or Epidemiology to join the Johnson Lab at The
Framingham Heart Study. As you know The Framingham Heart Study is a historic
, premier epidemiology cohort leading the way in Big Data Science in
genetics and genomics, with a rich repository of disease measures,
quantitative and longitudinal data. In the next year we anticipate the
generation of >5,000 whole genome sequences adding to an existing extensive
platform of OMICs data including GWAS on several platforms (n>9,000), blood
gene expression data (n>5,600), epigenetic data and induced pluripotent stem
cell lines. We are seeking creative thinkers and top-notch scientists who
are eager to take on high impact research in the NIH Intramural Research
program. The selected candidate will work collaboratively in the Johnson Lab
, with trainees and other FHS/NHLBI investigators, and have >15% of their
time to dedicate to independent research activities. Salary is commensurate
with experience and typically starts at >$120,000 annually for an Intramural
Staff Scientist position.
