Dear Sir or Madam
In the EB2NIW requirement, it requires an advanced degree in the field. I am
currently a pre-doctoral student in US. However, my current program is a "
strictly a Ph.D. program. The only time a Master's degree is permitted is if
a student must leave before qualifying for a Ph.D. and has done the work to
merit a Master's degree. ". I have done the work to merit a Master's degree
and I want to continue my Ph.D degree. Since it seems impossible to get a
Master degree from my program and I want to apply before my graduation, I am
wondering whether there is a way to fulfill the requirement without getting
an official master degree ?

想从计算机学术界进入工业界工作，但是申请处处碰壁（数据挖掘/算法，对数据的预
处理和分析有很多的经验）。很多公司的位置要求都是需要有几年的工作经验。我想每个
人的工业界经验都有个从无到有的过程吧。已经成功进入到工业界的朋友，能否分享一
下经历和经验？

感谢大家的热情参与和给出的诚恳建议，我觉得交流太重要了，集体的智慧往往会对一
个问题有更全面，更正确地认识。
再稍微介绍一下我的背景：国内CS本科毕业，来美做了几年博，偏机器学习和数据挖掘
到公司工作的话比较擅长的领域有：
1）数据的特征提取和回归分析（做过10G的大数据，从数据收集，关键特征的提取和并
行运行
，都是自己做的，在生物/地质/金融系统中都做过），所以经验很多，很有信心能够做
好。
2）Java，C++，其他几门script语言都非常熟悉。博士几年大部分时间和这几种打交道。
3）SVM/ANN作机器学习的研究
4）基本的分子生物，生化，生物信息学相关工作。
希望大家能够再多多给出建议，多多讨论。
