Hello Neuron, Thanks so much for your reply. I am waiting for the offer letter now. So I don't need to talk over the insurance coverage with the PI, since it seems to be mainly decided by the university.

agree. Don't come to Manhattan for a postdoc if you have little kids (<3 years) or are planning to have one soon. However, I think if your little ones are like 3-4 years or older, Manhattan might not be too bad. There are lots of activity preschoolers can enjoy.
