The Department of Biological Sciences seeks candidates for an academic year,
tenure-track position in
the area of Immunology at the level of Assistant Professor. Creative
investigators employing cutting-edge
approaches to study aspects of cellular and molecular immunology are
encouraged to apply. Areas of
interest include, but are not limited to, host-pathogen interactions,
inflammation, immune responses to
infectious diseases, and cancer/tumor immunology. This positon is aligned
with a major investment in the
life sciences by the Office of the Executive Vice President for Research and
Partnerships at Purdue
University supporting the establishment of a Purdue Institute for
Inflammation, Immunology and
Infectious Disease (PI4D) https://www.purdue.edu/research/life-sciences/.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in an appropriate
discipline and at least 2 years of
postdoctoral experience. The successful candidate is expected to maintain a
dynamic and collaborative
research program addressing fundamental questions in the areas listed above
and to excel in teaching at
the undergraduate and graduate levels. Opportunities for collaboration with
microbiologists, structural
biologists and cell biologists within theDepartment of Biological Sciences
