Funded Positions Available
Postdoctoral Researchers, Graduate/Medical Students, and Technicians
interested in Skeletal Development and Disease Research
Various positions are available in the Karner Laboratory within the Duke
Orthopaedic Cellular, Developmental, and Genome Laboratories at Duke
University School of Medicine. The primary research focus of these positions
will be to create and utilize novel mouse genetic models to study the role
of cellular metabolism during skeletal development and disease. One of the
major focuses of the Karner Lab is to utilize conditional and transgenic
mouse models coupled with primary cell culture, biochemistry, transcriptomic
and metabolomic approaches to understand the contributions of various
metabolic pathways to the development and maintenance of the skeleton.
Trainees will take a leading role in one of several projects in the
laboratory. These projects include interrogating the role of amino acid
metabolism in cell lineage determination; identifying modes of action and
regulation of amino acid metabolism in skeletal cells in development and
disease; and identifying new osteoanabolic strategies to treat patients with
osteoporosis. Postdoctoral and Technician candidates should provide a
cover letter, CV, and contact information for three professional references.

这些都是Milkweed，是美洲君主斑蝶Monarch的寄主，他们的幼虫只吃这种植物
这两年Monarch数量锐减，如果这些Milkweed不挡着你们的道的话，就留着吧
