Now, I think about it. The only advantage of going there is that you will
probably make up your mind about switching to computer programming. It is
located in the middle of Amazon campus and you will see people who are
younger than you making 2-3 times as much money if not more (and free banana

看来是一无是处啊。我自己就是做计算了，machine learning也懂一些，所以
programming就不用再学了。我也知道去industry能挣更多钱，不过还是喜欢学术界的
氛围。

programming就不用再学了。我也知道去industry能挣更多钱，不过还是喜欢学术界的
氛围。

另外提一句我老板天天忽悠我医学院/non-profit research institute的位置比生物系
的好，因为不用教课。在我老板眼里，做科研反正需要申请经费，而自己的工资对于整
个实验室的运营成本来说只是一小部分，所以教科上花的时间不如用来申请经费。估计
是他established了所以才有这种想法吧。

的好，因为不用教课。在我老板眼里，做科研反正需要申请经费，而自己的工资对于整

It is simple. NIH budget cut and you are 100% soft money. Just wait until
NIH cap the indirect. They will all be out of business.

我去过。
但我当时是为了考察NEU-Seattle；无意发现，原来大名鼎鼎的Institute of Systems
biology就在隔壁。
感觉就是两栋楼的样子。在城市中心。周围感觉挺好的。
如其他人说的，这是个适合改行做计算的地方，距离Amazon campus非常近
至于学术，我就不了解了。
