i guess those are for advanced level, like doctoral classes. for undergraduate/mba levels, investments (brodi, kane, marcus) corporate finance (brealy, myers, marcus) for sure are core courses. some financal markets, financial institutions, and derivativies should have a rough idea about how finance is going on...
personal opinion: There are two main categories: 1) Corporate Finance IPO, Governance, Debt Underwritting, Project Financing, Bankrupcy Costing.... 2) Investment Fixed Income Securities, Equity, Derivatives ... But there are also some other parts, like Real Option;
