How's the salary range? Any possibility to get a 70k+ job for a fresh Ph.D.?
the chances for recruitment is bad than BS/MS because of overqualified
degree.

What I understand is "非常非常" means very very difficulty, forget your PhD, it's useless over MS,

Well...offshore is a bit different. I meant 普通结构工程 in my post.

Normally some companies have both offshore and onshore departments, so you
mean a fresh ph.d. will get different salaries? How much is the difference?
let's say if $65k is for onshore structure, what's the salary for offshore
ones? $70k,$80k or higher?

这个我无法告诉你一个确切的数值，每个公司情况不同。我说的做普通结构是指该公司
的主要业务就是普通结构，例如高层、医院、学校、体育场馆等。类似这样的公司在休
斯顿，ENTRY-LEVEL的结构工程师起薪到6万是有可能的（算不错的），有没有PH.D.学
位影响不大。作OFFSHORE的公司和里面作ONSHORE的部门的基本工资差别不大，不过有
些作OFFSHORE的工程师需要去不时去现场工作，一个月、两个月甚至更长都有可能，这
样比较辛苦，但无形中增加了全年的总收入。
一般说来，好的OFFSHORE的公司给ENTRY-LEVEL付到7万完全可能，但按照我自己的观察
，似乎OFFSHORE公司起薪的上下浮动范围比普通结构公司大不少。你可能拿到7万5，也
可能只有5万5。
