同时收到邮件说case状态变成了initial review。这是啥情况？面试的时候officer说

最近两年时间都花在找工作上了
最近拿了份还算满意的 三五年内可能就不面试了 写点感想
找工作的网站:

面试准备：
(1)电话面试
一般都是hr 口语练好点 简历弄熟点 没啥好说的
(2)behavoir question
准备几个behavoir question 比如如何跟team member工作啊 起了冲突怎么办啊
我遇见过最恶心的是让我给个Ethical Conflict的例子
这种问题答不出来也没什么关系
面试就是个交流的过程 只要整个过程流畅了 一两个问题没说上来也无关大局
(3)technical question
精算面试没什么技术问题
我遇见过的也无非是说说不同保险产品的rating factor
excel里vlookup/sumif的用法之类的
跟我面过的统计职位比起来 精算职位面试可以算是没有任何技术问题
(4)总结
把口语练好了 过掉phone screen 拿到on site面试后 就看运气了
面试这种事其实是看缘分的 缘分到了自然就有了
考试门数:
老在版上看到有人问考试太多会不会不好
对于中国学生来说 优势就在于考试 考试不多过点 怎么跟美国人争
我参加过的面试里 从来没有人说考试太多了
考试多点 也能增加点对精算的理解
H1B:
其实办的公司越来越少了
其实对于公司来说 几千块钱是小钱 真想招这个人的话不是问题
我工作的第一个公司以前从来没办过h1b 面的还算满意 后来也就给办了h1b
我的建议是不管这个公司是否办h1b 投了再说
面试的时候坚决不提工作签证的事 到了最后一步再说
我最近面的一个职位 工作要求里写明了不给办工作签证
我没管就投了 面啊面就拿到offer了
最后跟hr谈offer的时候 跟他说要h1b
那哥们说他要问问partner 当天就给我回过来 说要给办h1b
杂想：
(1)地点很重要
以前在南部 投几百份简历也不见个响 来了东北后拿面试容易多了
(2)保险公司v.s.咨询公司：
保险公司时间稳定点，干活的可能会重复一点，偶尔也能拿到有意思的项目
咨询公司乱做一通 有点得加班加点 还得出差

面试时问这个的很多

life就是很挑战 有很多变化

基本上跟我感觉差不多吧，不过技术问题还是有的，估计跟职位和公司都有关系吧，我
最近的面试问到了GAAP和IFRS的大致区别，yield curve,key rate duration, tax
reserve的算法，VUL的特点，还有就是顺着简历上列出来的东西一个一个问。所以简历
上写的东西一定要准备好该怎么往深里说。
唉，说起来真是满腔仇恨，本来都到手了，结果人一听我的H1B已经用了四年，现在公
司的140又还没下来，就说我们得和legal商量怎么搞，然后就一直商量下去了...
所以现在就不准备面试了，专心等140到了以后再出山

reserve的算法，VUL的特点，还有就是顺着简历上列出来的东西一个一个问。所以简历
上写的东西一定要准备好该怎么往深里说。
唉，说起来真是满腔仇恨，本来都到手了，结果人一听我的H1B已经用了四年，现在公
司的140又还没下来，就说我们得和legal商量怎么搞，然后就一直商量下去了...
所以现在就不准备面试了，专心等140到了以后再出山

我这个星期二面试完。后来状态也变成这样。
面试的时候让我们补充小孩出生证英文翻译。

恩 可能我面的还太junior 所以技术问题比较少

depends on the company, and if the job description requires BS and 5+ years
of experience, it would be EB2 in most companies

一般精算职位都是EB3，但是如果拿到ASA或FSA可以在职位上加5年工作经验 required,
能变成EB2的。反正现在EB2也是等4年多，干满5年就换成EB2就好了。
