BMG signs Harnoncourt
BMG Classics has signalled its ambition to return to the forefront of
classical music recording following a quiet period, by signing conductor
Nikolaus Harnoncourt.
The first three of ten planned Harnoncourt releases over the next four years
are already in the can. The first will be a live recording of last year’s
Salzburg Festival performance of Bruckner’s Symphony No 9 with the Vienna
Philharmonic Orchestra, complete with the final movement and a commentary by
Harnonco
