Sinead O'Connor appeared on Saturday Night live in 1992. As her second performance, she sang an acapella version of Bob Marley's "War" to protest sexual abuse in the Roman Catholic Church and changed some lyrics to reflect the subject of child abuse. She then presented a photo of Pope John Paul II to the camera and, saying "fight the real enemy," tore it up.
