i get a table in sql, it's huge, and the next step for me is to put this table
into SPSS, so how can i save it. I know if i save it as 'xls', it cannot
handle that many rows. so how can i do it?

Microsoft SQL server? Or something else?
I am not sure, but in Sybase, if the table is huge, you can use "cursor" to "
fetch" records...
if u use linux, there is not huge table at all, :) select them out and use awk
or perl to generate "CSV" file.
