转行data science。想用python。最近看到一本书，python for data analysis， by
Wes McKinney。有人用这边书吗？怎么样？
这本书里提到用EPDFree，IPython。这个好用吗？
我按照书里的instruction，搜EPDFree时，https://python4mpia.github.io/
installation/EPDFree_mac.html
得到的是Enthought Canopy https://www.enthought.com/canopy-subscriptions/
哪一个比较好用？

这本书挺好的。
对于python初学，我们现在都用jupyter notebook了(就是ipython notebook)，这个对
于学习非常方便。

这本书的作者是pandas的developer，这本还是很不错的。

我是自己装的python27，所以得自己就一个个装库。目前装scipy时遇到困难，好像要
先装MKL，一个C和Fortran的库，不知怎么搞。
不太想装这种free distribution什么都有的python。

初学还是用jupyter 比较方便。直接搜annaconda, 然后就可以装了。
另外，你是用mac 还是windows?
windows下面装annaconda没问题，但是如果要装xgboost，我遇到很多问题。
你那本书讲pandas讲得很好。
很实用。

为什么要下载3.5版呢? 现在好多教材的例子都还是2.7版的.
请指教.

3.5还很不完善，连mysql的connector都没有，建议现在最好别用。要用3的，用3.4吧
