could someone recommendation some good
and not expensive asp.net enabled webhosting?
my website will be simple and only sell a few
products and need a support forum.

godaddy. $3.99/month, with 200MB sql server space.

I have a domain from godaddy, too. They don't have
an IP updater, though, not good if you don't have a
static IP.
I use no-ip now.

what are the issues if you don't have a static ip?

Oh, so do you keep updating your IP manually by logging into your godaddy ac
count? I think that's cumbersome.

are you talking about hosting the website yourself?
if you host by godaddy, although they don't give you static ip address, but
you don't need to keep updating ip address for the site to work.

Yes, I was talking about hosting the website on my PC at home.
Is it pretty easy to use their ASP.NET and SQL Server service?

their service is good in general.
but it's sql server service is not very flexible, you can ask them to backup
your database, which takes 24 hours to turn around and they do not restore
database from any of your own copy. which may or may not be a problem for
you.

OK, thanks. I think it is easier to host on a machine over which I have full
control.
