Man arrested for buying stolen iPad
A San Francisco man was arrested Sunday for allegedly purchasing a
stolen $800 iPad for $250 in the Mission district, police at Park
Station said.
The iPad had been swiped during a car smash-in in the 700 block of
Corbett Avenue around 7 a.m. Sunday.
The owner and cops used technology to track the location of the popular
electronic device, police said. Cops say they found a 39-year-old man
with the iPad at Mission and 11th streets. He did not match the
description of the burglar, police said.
“The man said that he had just bought the $800 iPad for $250 on the
street at 14th and Mission streets,” police said.
He was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property, police
said.
