Is there a limit per transaction for rewards dollars? We just had what was
undoubtedly a couple of resellers in today and they wanted to use $4000 in
rewards. All the same accounts, all accumulated in the same month! I have no
doubt they were resellers because I looked up their previous transactions
and they bought 45+ chromecasts when they were on sale (can't believe
someone in my store let them do this, omfg) and a bunch of printers with
tradeins, and my tech informs me they trade the printers in GUTTED.
Basically I was looking for ANY reason to decline the transaction, but I
couldn't think of one besides "fuck these guys". They did try to stack some
%off coupons and my cashier is a bright girl and told them no chance. But
they cleaned us out of ink on the floor, and tried to clean us out of our
backstock too. They wasted an hour of my cashiers time, not even considering
the time to restock all of the HP basically. And spent $0. What could/
should I have done?
I did reprint their receipt to get their rewards and intend to send it & a
detailed description of what happened to our APLM, but.. I don't look
forward to having this happen again.

The only real thing you could have done is told them that they can only use
the highest 5 rewards coupons and refused to sell them any items that you
would consider a "good" deal or epson printers (the one's they are gutting)
if you have enough reason to believe they're resellers. They might make a
stink about it, but don't accuse them of reselling. Say something along the
lines of "We're only allowed to sell a limited quantity of X items to
customer due to recent high demand" or some BS like that.
