the background in pde is surely useful.
i think you are preparing pretty well, except the score. maybe a course in
stochastic process will make you more shiny.

Thanks so much for your reply.
I know my scores are terrible, I am always hoping to get better scores, but I
have to admit that I am not good at this. That's why I want to quit my current
Ph.D study and get a more "prefessional" degree to help me find a job.
My scores cannot change now. Do you think are there any ways that can make my
application stronger? Thanks.

average of 80 should be above 3.0. as far as I see it, it is an OK score. from
your 1st message, you don't seem to put your eyes on top schools, which always
have too many applicants to consider low-score ones.
maybe, try to work on some computational projects with some professors and get
their recommendation letters.
