It will be my 6th year of teaching next year and I will apply for the
National Board Certification for special education k-12. The test is pretty
hard. Maybe we can start a studying group here.

说实话我觉得praxis I，II 什么的都挺难的,不是我们不会，是因为题量太大，我看了
一下praxis I, reading要44个题1个小时完成，打死我也读不完呀，就算照顾外国人延
长半小时我觉得也不够。我旁边考试的美国学生说很简单，那是对他们来说呀。当初
tofel没觉得多费尽，因为有聪明人把历届的题都拿出来联系而且有答案分析，可是哪
里有牛人能总结一下praxis 呀？不知道新东方是怎么把题目弄出来的，象间谍那样吗
？成本挺高的。我都有心这么干了，就是没工具也没胆量。

我现在不用，但是如果我去滨州，他们要求take
很多别的州要求concept,密苏里只要求content,真是救我一命

In NC, if a teacher work for state for three years, the state will pay for
it. For some reason they didn't mail me my certificate until last month, so
I missed the deadline. I think about do it next year. Let's help each other.

wjgsh, don't be scared by Praxis I. Most states' requirement is very low. My
state is tough on praxis I, but it is still pretty low. If you did both
toefl and gre before, there is no way for you to fail.

Thanks MM, I've only taken TOEFL a couple years ago, have never taken GRE,
the hardest part is reading, I am a very slow reader, If I can take Praxis I
for one whole day, I won't have problem.
I think I will stay in MO for a while.

Since I don't want to take that job, I don't care about whether or not they
want to hire me.
but today, I got a email, said that they want to find someone who has
already have certificate to start working immediately, I will get mine in a
couple of month.

冒昧的问一句，National Board Certification 有没有其他用处？我只知道我们学区
会多付2000元每年。谢谢

IF you have National Board Certification, then you can teach anywhere in USA
without worrying about your license. It's good to have one.
