seems like a power diod. check resistance from two directions.

The function of thermistor is to keep the temperature constant.
depending on where you live, I used to bring the broken part to the local
electronics store, and let them find a new part with the same electrical
parameters. you can ask your friend to see if there is any store selling
electronics components in you area. if you can read the label on the broken
part, you can try to google it. you may be able to find the exact same part.
