hmm..seems a lot of ppl are using viterbi algorithm.
This topic pops up every now and then.
Here is my 2 cents:
It's very slow if you want to use matlab.
You can find a lot of tutorials on the net very easily.
Here is one that I got by google just now:

It contains source C codes.
Keep in mind that the algorithm is described in the context of
convolutional codes.
However, it's not easy to read other's codes.
Maybe it's wiser for you to write the code by
