I was told by the committee chair that I am shortlisted for further
consideration. Would it be appropriate if I ask the chair about the number
of applicants in the shortlist? Thank you.

08年是NR,09是Resident. 准备用e-filing提交1040，填表到最后，让输入上年的AGI，
这个该添多少？搞不懂了，应该
填去年的1040NR的AGI，还是填zero？请教，谢谢。

How long after review date did you know you are on shortlist?

you could feel better if you asked. but it wouldn't change anything whether
you asked or not. so i would suggest not asking.

shortlist for phone interview or campus visit? if campus visit, generally 3-
4 candidates for each position. if phone interview, the number could vary
significantly (8-15 per position?)
