我今年的 faculty申请有一个很奇怪的现象：总共有10几所学校要了我的推荐信（不算
那些自动发的），但是没有一所有下文。所有给我phone interview的学校在打电话之
前都没看过我的推荐信。打完电话后第二天都要了我的推荐信，但是之后就没有下文了
。目前看来所有phone interview的学校都 fail了。不知道是我的phone interview技
巧有问题，还是推荐信有问题？一般 phone interview之后要了推荐信能进入onsite的
概率大吗？

有个周末被朋友的狗抓了一道，学校医院不开门，我就去附近医院看了个急诊，医生说
没事就让我走了。后来拿到保险公司的信，说要claim然后他们review，也就是说如果
argue失败我就得自己掏280+，求问这种情况如何能argue成功。谢谢！

怎么大家这么热爱包子呢，也吃不到嘴里，还是猪蹄实惠。
嗯，其实，我还爱吃炖猪蹄。这个菜也超级好做。买来猪蹄，清水没过，加上花椒大料
辣椒姜片和葱，清水小火炖一个半钟头，然后加点酱油白糖再炖20分钟到半个小时，就
可以吃了。很好吃！猪蹄筋也不少，就是每次吃的时候我总有点隐隐担心不健康。。。
清水一定要够多，火一定要够小。我喜欢小火慢炖因为炖上不用管了，可以继续去写作
业或者看影碟。

这个就是按保险公司的程序走，你不CLAIM，他们又怎么给你报销呢？

They have to cap it after Swiss Franc mess. If gold looks too good then
there would be a run from paper into gold and silver.
They also have extra motives now that Obama is planning another mass
spending program that can be financed only by more money printing.

要了推荐信后没消息比较正常。
但phone interview后又要了推荐信后没消息就有点不对了（说明人家已很serious考虑
下一步了），如有2个或以上这样的情况说明你的推荐信不好。

the momentum for price of gold to climb is depleting over this tumbling.
Without new event to spur it up, you will see a major slump just like 2008
and 2006 within less than a year.
Again, keep cash in your hand, sit still and wait.

现在70了，哈哈。有涨就有跌，有啥好为什么的。不就是欧洲债务有转机么，都是借口
