Avaya Agrees to $8 Billion Takeover by Silver Lake, NYT Says
June 4 (Bloomberg) -- Silver Lake Partners and TPG Inc. agreed to buy Avaya
Inc. for about $8 billion, the New York Times reported, in the largest lever
aged buyout of a computer networking company.
Avaya shareholders will receive about $17 a share, the Times said, citing un
identified people familiar with the transaction. That's 5.7 percent more tha
n Basking Ridge, New Jersey-based Avaya's closing price of $16.08 on June 1.
