我用的是Time Warner的Internet high speed service。我觉得我的IP地址应该是动态分
配的，也就是说今天的IP和明天的IP应该是不一样的。但这几天我用ipconfigure命令查
我个人电脑的IP，发现都是一样的。不是哪位高手解释一下是怎么回事，谢谢。

No， I just turn off my computer every time I finish using it. Any suggestion?

Cable is ethernet like. Comcast seem to register your modem MAC as the way to
reject unauthorized access. So easier to get fixed IP but still no guarantee.
DSL is dial-up, which usually comes with a dynamic IP pool.

if you turn off your router, your IP might be recycled. depends on ISP.

You are not giving enough information.
Generally without paid service, they don't guarantee you fixed IP. But they
don't guarantee a different IP each time you log on either.

现在很多cable公司的dhcp expiration time设置得很长，尤其提供voip的地方，很多都
有3天，7天，甚至更长，主要是mta要求这样，所以，除非你关掉cable modem/router几
天以上，否则拿到的ip基本上每次都一样。
dsl用pppoe，但是也有一个ip pool，很少有人（除非提供standalone dsl服务）在dsl上
跑
residential voip，所以一般expiration time明显要短。
