2. if a NMS (manager) wants to get printer's (managed device) information
such as brand, model(e.g. Laser), type(e.g. color, white-black), How can I
know the OID? Seems that it is defined by enterprise (e.g. I google and
found 1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.7.1.1 means inetSrvStats … of Microsoft. Is there
official place to find OID?
3. what if the enterprise does not provide the MIB and OID?

2.通常问厂商吧,不然就只有google了.
3.如果厂商根本没有把你想要的东西放在mib里面,当然你是poll不到的了.

OID 1.3.6.1.4.1 is for enterpise private.
Not sure printer informations are part of public MIB or not.
I did search the MIB source from UCD-SNMP.
Looks like MIB-II host resource, .1.3.6.1.2.1.25, has a few printer info.
