this is how "as well as" is used. you can use "as well" if you change the
sentense to " .... enough to support its own weight, and the weight
of the people and vehicles that use it as well."
what is "伴随句"...forget most of the grammar :)
i think D is correct.

there is a "than" in the sentence, so C should be "greater"
i don't think there is much wrong with "in the history". and i don't think
the real TOEFL test will do sth like that. :)
should be "involved in" or "involved with"
should be "with"
i think deletion of "the" is better here.
"feed" should be replaced with "feeding". here feeding = which feed.
otherwise there are two verbs in the sentence: support and feed. not correct.
