I checked the oxford english dictionary and both 'consider' and
'consider as' are correct. My personally feeling is 'consider as'
is rather formal or something that's really matters a lot or means
a lot. eg,
'he is considered as a real man.'
while for the examples you said about job, consider the job as something
is kinda too big for that sentense.
