我是eb1a的绿卡，6月底拿到，之前在版上报过timeline。因为之前用ap有过几次国际
旅行，所以国际办公室一直催着我拿护照和i-94去给他们看因为他们不信我不用visa也
能回美国。当得知我是用ap回美以后，他们说我在用ap的时候h1b就失效了，而且因为
我没有用ead，所以我从用ap开始就一直在非法工作。我当然说他们是错的，然后把
USCIS的memo给他们看，只要我不换雇主，我可以继续合法工作而不用ead。同时我告诉
他们我已经收到了绿卡。他们马上又说我没有及时update我的i-9，所以已经违反了联
邦法。我告诉他们我刚刚拿到绿卡，现在告诉了他们并且愿意update我的i-9。
可是因为他们再三的无理取闹，我不想让他们如愿scan我的绿卡，我说要用我的驾照
，SSN卡和A#来update我的i-9，因为这也是符合要求的文件。可是他们不愿意，只肯用
我的绿卡，即便我给他们拿在他们自己的手上看过了也不行。我告诉他们我有权利选择
使用哪种文件，但他们告诉我因为我的h1b是他们sponsor的，所以他们有权利知道我绿
卡的所有信息，而且他们还需要withdraw我的h1b。这可是我头回听到不知真假，因为
我的h1b在我绿卡通过的时候已经失效了啊，他们还要withdraw? 我也没有什么pending
的petition或者extension。
由于我不愿意他们scan我的绿卡，他们拒绝update我的i-9并让我离开。离开以后我给
我老板说了一下这个情况，不多久国际办公室给我来信说我的i-9已经update了，我可
以不用再去了。可是我当时拿走了填好的i-9，所以他们没有记下我的A#，我也没有签
任何东西，他们也可以自己update么？
我知道我其实可以就让他们扫描我的绿卡，可是这个办公室做了太多对国际学者学生不
道德的事情，不光光是对我。反正我的位置也只剩下一个月了，我实在是气不过。
补充一点，可能他们可以自己联系USCIS来获得我的信息，因为当时我用ap回美，他们
也是自己知道的，然后给所有人发信说我已经在非法工作。看来USCIS对我们的隐私还
是保护不够。我相信还是有些人不一定希望别人知道自己是怎么拿到绿卡的。

终于，看过了《颐和园》。
其实并不是很喜欢娄烨的风格，《苏州河》啰里啰唆的繁琐，《紫蝴蝶》令人眩晕
的复杂。但是，这位导演虽然路子野野的，才华还是时不时地蹦出来，而且颇有些个性
似的。拍了颐和园，被禁了不说，还5年内不能拍片。
这部电影称不上好与不好，因为它实在是太私人化了。电影凭什么打动人？就凭能
让人有共鸣，尤其是细微之处的，不为外人知却被导演一语道破的共鸣。商业电影之所
以讨好，也许就是因为迎合了很多受众的内心，所以能成为“大众”电影。而有些电影
，加入了太多导演和编剧的个人想法和执念，用句通俗的话说，就是导演自己yy到了高
潮，导致的结果必然是大众茫然不知所云，而只有“小众”，那些恰好有着同样执念的
“小众”，被摇颤内心，几欲涕零。
《颐和园》就是这么个“小众”电影。一个神经兮兮的女主角，爱得疯狂又颓废；
一个软弱无力的男主角，该负责的时候没负过一次责；一个游离在时代前列的女配角，
小资闷骚女的祖先。有人看完了，一句话，这是啥玩意儿？爱情不像爱情（女主角：我
要和你分手，因为我已经离不开你了~），友情不像友情（女主角最好的朋友莫名其妙
地钓走了她的男朋友

去掉-fno-implicit-templates就没问题，编译运行成功。
请问这个选项具体干什么用，不知道去掉这个选项有什么后果，
现在程序还很简单，所以看不出影响。

我用windows xp 操作系统。

1. 关于Lindeburg's ENVRM
This is your core reference. You can rely on it alone to deal with >80% 的题
目 in the PE exam. But, you can IGNORE the follow sections:
- Topic I (except section 11, here you need to study statistical analysis
and risk analysis, which is actually a key point, such as calculation of CDI
);
- Just browse section 14-18, you won't need a large proportion of the
contents here
- Section 31-36, section 52 and 53
2. Lindeburg's Practical Problems is way more complicated than the real exam
. After you start studying it, you will soon get a feeling you might not
necessarily study probably half of the questions there. In contrast, I feel
Schneiter's Env. Eng. Solved Problems are more useful.难度更接近真题. 更重要
的是,这本书的题目实际上指出了ENVRM的重点. ENVRM got too much stuff, if you
pay equal effort on everything, you will waste your time.
3. You must have NCEES 的PE Sample questions + solutions,and carefully study
it because it is the only one that mimics the real PE exam.
4. You should create you own cheat sheet. I have a 20-page cheat sheet where
I summarized all the essential equations. This cheat sheet also helped me
quickly review ENVRM 中的重点内容.
5. Other references. You need more reference books. If you count on ENVRM
alone, you will 对 > 10% 的考题速手无策.
The references I brought with me include:
1. Hazardous Waste Management (LaGrega et al.)
2. Practical Design Calculations for GW and Soil Remediation
3. Air Pollution Control (Copper and Alley)
4. Handbook of Env. Eng. Calculations (Lee and Shun Dar Lin)
5. Wastewater Engineering (Metcalf and Eddy)
6. HazWoper manual and 2008 Emergency Response guidebook
7. Env. Eng. 5th ed (Salvato, et al.)
8. CERCLA, RCRA, 10-state stds
Among these, the most useful are Air Pollution Control and Env. Eng. 5th ed
(Salvato, et al.). 昨天这两本真帮我对付了好几道题.10-State Stds 多余了. 感觉
Wastewater Engineering (Metcalf and Eddy)也没啥用.
几点建议:
1. 熟悉单位转换,such as mg/L * 8.345 = lbs/MG
2. 至少提前3-4个月开始复习. 如果你有时因出差等原因不能保证连贯的复习,建议你
提前半年开始着手.
3. 搞清楚重点, 方可事半功倍.
3. 你应该花一半的时间做题或看题.
另外,建议版主在精华版设个PE folder.这对后来人还是很有用的.

工作的许可应该不需要绿卡复印件，A#+ SSN足以。

我也不清楚啊，不过能不闹僵还是不要闹僵吧。现在即便他们revoke h1b, not a
problem.

控制台里面是要从CD解压缩原始文件再替换回去的。
要用expand hal.dl_ hal.dll
然后把这个hal.dll复制到system32下面去。
这个办法不行的话
还有一个办法是找一台一样service pack level的windows xp，把这个系统的硬盘接
上去，然后从那个系统里面复制一个hal.dll过去。注意系统要一样的service pack，
最好也是一样都是多core或者单core。

和所在州board联系，他们怎么要求就怎么来，就是推荐信，申请表啥的。没啥捷径。
