11/4/2011 Sent letter to Congressman asking for help. Got a standard reply a
month later stating "USCIS is working on your case". Not sure if it helped
to expedite the case.
11/11/2011 Sent SR for both myself and LD. Both SR came back a month later.
LD's had "wait to be processed". Mine had "missing fingerprint". Called
USCIS a couple of times and finally got a nice officer who told me the
fingerprint I did many years ago had expired. They need me to do a new
fingerprint. The officer also discovered the new fingerprint appointment was
sent to my old address. The officer was nice enough to fax me the
fingerprint appointment he had in the system and suggested me to go to the
local USCIS office to get fingerprints done.
12/19/2011 A week after new fingerprints were taken, we got notices that
both GC had been approved. Called USCIS again to confirm the address on file
as we've moved many times since the application were submitted.
12/24/2011 Received both greencards in the mail
Lesson learned:
- Call USCIS multiple times if needed so you can get a nice officer to help
you.
- SR is a must if it's been over a month after PD becomes current and you
heard nothing from USCIS.
- 和移民律师签合约的时候要弄清条款。我们当时和某Lai律师事务所签的合约包括推
荐信的撰写。但当我们的EB1得了RFE的时候，被告知合约不包括RFE时的推荐信的撰写
，这直接导致了EB1的被拒, 以至于那么多年来痛苦的等EB2的PD.
长期潜水员，连正式ID都没有。只好借朋友的ID发这个帖子。这个版面上有很多热心人
和有用的信息。祝各位都早绿！
