Dear Dr. xxx
It has been a while since I was interviewed at your department. I hope all
is well.
I would like to let you know that I just received an informal offer from
another university. But I am more drawn to the research environment at your
department. I resonate with your blueprint of the development of the
department, i.e., to build a XXX-related XXX program, and am excited to
utilize my connections with academia and industry to help achieve the goal.
I believe that I am a better fit for this position. So, if possible, please
let me know your decision at your earliest convenience.

If you are going to tell them that you have an offer, tell them where it
came from. An informal offer equals no offer in my mind.

估计LZ想说这个学校better fit他自己。说实话，没什么好问的，面完就move on,是第
一人选自然联系你，不是的话，只能等人家据了才轮到你。

有offer自然要用。人有时候就是这样，别人哄抢的东西才觉的是品质信的过的，否则
就不会有ebay, amazon, taobao的星评系统了。
建议楼主发过去，但是语气不用这么生硬正式，“I would like to let you know
that I just received an informal offer from another university” 感觉有点威
胁的口气。
