之前是J1身份，现在学校给了个staff岗位，帮我办H1B，老婆因此要转H4。现在要填
I539表，学校不负责这个，让我们自己填表。有两个地方搞不清楚求助大家：
1. 在第三部分1.b这里："Check this box if you were granted, or are seeking,
Duration of Status (D/S)"。这里她之前是J2，所以确实有D/S，但是按照USCIS的指
示， "If you were granted D/S as an F or J nonimmigrant and are seeking
reinstatement or are requesting a change of status to an F or J non-
immigrant then you should check the box in Part 3. Item Number 1.b. of the
form to indicate a duration of D/S". 这样来看她又不符合这个说法。所以说这里
到底该不该勾选呢？
2. 第三部分3.a这里："Is this application based on a separate petition or
application to give your spouse, child, or parent an extension or change of
status". 选项是 1. Yes, filed with this I-539; 2. No; 3. Yes, filled
previously and pending with USCIS. 现在学校答应把她的申请放到和我一个信封一
起交。所以3肯定不对。但是是选1还是选2呢？
想请问大家之前填的时候（比如F2转H4，或者J2转H4）这些情况是怎么处理的，感激不
尽！
