research associates positions are now available at the Center for Photonics
Technology (CPT) at Virginia Tech, directed by Professor Anbo Wang.
CPT is one of the largest and well-reputed research centers for fiber optics
and sensing in the United States http://photonics.ece.vt.edu/. The engineering program of Virginia Tech is now ranked 24th by the US News http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-engineering-schools/eng-rankings. Several vibrant ongoing and anticipating programs are in need of highly motivated candidates with strong background in the following fields:
• Measurement instrument/secondary instrument;
• Electrical circuit/electronics;
• DSP, FPGA, embedded system, DAQ
• Optics;
• Fiber optics, fiber optic sensing;
• Material, sensor package;
Candidates in electronic/electrical engineering, precision instruments,
optics, material science, and applied physics are encouraged to apply. Prior
