If it's not your fault, you can go to the police dept. to argue it.
If not, just pay it.

just pay for it. it is not worth the time for just 50 bucks, without having
to worry about your driving record.

Check the "in violation of section" to see if they're quoting the correct
section (you can google the section). I once won an LA ticket which quoted a
section saying my wheels are too faraway from the curb on a one-direction
line. I wrote a rebut saying the street is a two-way street and won the case
.
But in general, this is harder to win compared to moving violations. You don
't have to go to the police office, just write an argument online.
